Excellent meal in a cozy, quiet setting. Very homey. Great service and reasonable price. We will definitely be back to try more on the menu.

Disappointing,
Service was not great
Food was OK at best, not great not bad just OK.
The light shade over our heads had food stains on it that looked like they had been there for 20 years.
Interior was from the 70's and mediocre at that.
Not sure if they had wine, it was not offered to us.
By reservation only was a bit of a pain, but if it was actually awesome we would have been OK with that. But it was not.
We did it once, Other restaurants in town are much better.
Cost was high, not worth what we paid. A shame we had high expectations. -

I was very excited to try this place as it seems very authentic and very different from any other restaurant in Lindsay.
But the hours are a bit complicated, they really don't like it if you just walk in they prefer you make a reservation so we did for 6:30 but for the exact reason why we dont like to make rezos we where ready way earlier then 6:30 so I called and asked to come at 6 we were told no they were too full.
When we arrived I noticed that there was a whole section not being used. I mean if they wanted to give the best customer service they can then they could of taken us at 6
As for the food our appy was discussing but I think that it was just that we don't like pickled fish our meals were a 3 out of 5 and the service was a 3 as well
We have had better schnitzel at other restaurants for sure. we don't see a need to go back especially since it is so hard to figure out when they are open and if we can't just walk in with out getting a warm greeting then we will dine at other places. -

Both times we have been here the food has been excellent! This time my husband and I shared the house special for two, and had a heaping platter of food which was enough for leftovers. The onion pastry before the meal was divine. I wish we had a place like this closer to home!

The food is excellent... One of my favorite restaurants in Lindsay. Highly recommended!
